With the warmer and sunnier days amongst us, we must not only consider items like sunscreen and sunglasses to protect our skin, but the foods we eat as well. Believe it or not, the sun isn’t the only thing that can damage and dehydrate your skin! So can the foods you choose to eat.
In order to keep a healthy glow inside and out this season, it is important to consider eating well and hydrating frequently. Here are some foods on our “To Eat” list that will help you look and feel your best all summer long:
- Watermelon. This symbol of summer is around 90 percent water, which hydrates the body!
- Berries. Packed with antioxidants, berries can protect skin from the damaging effects of the sun.
- Pineapple. Packed with vitamins and minerals, this fruit is thought to help lessen inflammation which could bring comfort for people with sunburns.
- Citrus Fruits. Full of vitamin C and amino acids, citrus fruits play a role in collagen production, which can keep skin looking young.
