Dr. Coccaro recently attended the Medical Society of the State of NY (MSSNY) House of Delegates in Buffalo, NY. Physicians from all over the state come together to debate and pass resolutions to improve the practice of medicine for our patients as well as ourselves. These resolutions are then sent to the legislature for debate and some are formed into bills and ultimately laws. He was chair of the Public Health and Education Committee which heard testimony on various public health issues including gun and bicycle safety. He was also appointed as the Organized Medical Staff Section (OMSS) Councilor to the MSSNY Council.
OMSS is MSSNY’s grassroots physician organization, composed of representatives from organized medical staffs in hospitals, group practices, and other physician organizations.
