Soft tissue fillers are FDA-approved and safe for use by most patients. Many of the fillers are made from substances found naturally in the body, or synthetically made to mimic natural substances or stimulate collagen production. These fillers are injected directly into the skin of the targeted area to restore volume and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. BOTOX® Cosmetic
BOTOX® is a highly purified protein injected into the skin to relax the muscles that cause some kinds of wrinkles. It is primarily used to reduce lines and wrinkles on the face and neck. Botox injections are relatively painless, as the needle used is significantly smaller than those used for other injectable fillers.
The best candidates for Botox are men and women seeking an enhanced appearance with fewer wrinkles. In addition, it is important that those seeking treatment are in good physical health, are not pregnant or nursing and do not have a neuromuscular disorder. People seeking Botox injections should have realistic expectations regarding this procedure’s abilities and should discuss their desired goals with their doctor beforehand.
Botox injections are administered by a qualified physician using a very fine needle. The procedure only takes a few minutes and requires no anesthetic. Day-to-day activities can be resumed immediately afterwards. Wrinkles begin to fade within 24 hours, with continued improvement over the next five days.
Side effects of Botox are rare and are usually mild and temporary. The most common side effects are headaches and temporary redness or bruising of the skin at the site of injection. Any risk of complications can be reduced by choosing an experienced physician.

DYSPORT
Dysport is an FDA-approved injection used to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by relaxing facial muscles in the forehead. Similar to BOTOX® Cosmetic, Dysport is injected directly into the site of wrinkles to prevent the underlying muscles from contracting. Dysport injections are made from the bacterium Clostridium botulinum, the same protein used in Botox injections.
Dysport injections are ideal for nearly anyone wishing to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles on the face and restore a younger, more refreshed appearance. The injections are administered directly into the facial muscles that cause frown lines and other wrinkles; these injections are generally painless, with no need for anesthesia. Treatment sessions typically take less 15 minutes, and are administered at six-week intervals. Three to five injections are usually required to achieve desired results.
Dysport injections are generally safe, although there are certain risks associated with any procedure. These risks include soreness and bruising for several hours after treatment, an allergic reaction or ptosis (droopiness of the eyelid). The risk of complications can be reduced by choosing a qualified physician for your procedure.
RESTYLANE
Restylane is a clear gel formulation of hyaluronic acid that is specifically formulated to act like your body’s own naturally produced hyaluronic acid, helping to visibly correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, including the lines that run from your nose toward the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds) and the lines that run from the corners of your mouth toward the chin (marionette lines). Additionally, Restylane and Restylane® Silk are FDA-approved and are formulated to give your lips fullness and definition.
JUVEDERM
Juvederm is an FDA-approved dermal filler whose primary active ingredient is hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the human body that is found in skin and muscle tissue. Juvederm comes in the form of a gel and is administered by subcutaneous injection beneath areas of the facial skin that are sagging or marked with lines and wrinkles.
RADIESSE
Radiesse is a wrinkle filler injected under the skin and is used to add volume under the skin. Over time, the benefits of RADIESSE continue by stimulating your body’s own natural collagen. The natural results have been shown to last a year or more in many patients, making the treatment results both immediate and long lasting.
BELOTERO BALANCE
Belotero Balance is a prescription injection that is FDA approved and can help restore a more youthful, well rested appearance to the face. It’s used to temporarily smooth out and fill in moderate to severe nasolabial folds (the folds or wrinkles that go from the side of the nose to the corner of the mouth).
VOLUMA
Voluma is an injectable gel is for for the correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds (such as nasolabial folds) . It’s the first filler formulated with lidocaine that is FDA approved to restore age-related volume changes in the cheeks. It’s formulated from chains of sugars that occur naturally in the skin.
VOLBELLA XC
Volbella is a dermal filler used to define lips and for the correction of fine wrinkles around the lips. This temporary filler is made of Hyaluronic Acid and us to treat fine lines without getting a full look in these delicate areas.
VOLLURE XC
XCVollure XC is an effective hyaluronic acid filler approved by the FDA specifically to address moderate to severe facial wrinkles and skin folds. Clinical tests have show it to work last 18 months or longer, which is about 50% longer than most other fillers.
HYALURONIC ACID
Hyaluronic acid is a sugar found naturally in the body that works with collagen to keep the skin smooth and supple. Aging, exposure to sunlight and other factors cause the hyaluronic acid in our cells to break down. Our skin loses volume, and lines and wrinkles appear. Hyaluronic acid injections replace those sugars and restore the skin to its youthful appearance. Frequently treated areas are the nasolabial (smile) lines, vertical lip lines, frown lines between the eyes, and marionette lines. No pre-treatment skin test is necessary. Treatments are quick and painless, and results are natural-looking and immediately visible. Effects last for a few months and then begin to fade.
